The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a
Local Authority and can demonstrate knowledge of
Litigation, including Education Prosecution & Adult Social Care/Debt Recovery matters.
Duties may include:- Carrying a caseload of S444 and Education Act 1996 Prosecutions; Single Justice Procedure matters
- Advising County Attendance Officers on the overlap with the S19 EA96 duty, public interest, PACE procedures, Parenting Orders under the Sentencing Act 2020, Fixed Penalty Notices under the Education (Penalty Notices) England Regulations 2007
- Prosecuting via CVP; instructing Counsel where CVP was not granted and prepared a report of all outstanding cases from 2020 and evidential procedures
- Handling applications for a Civil injunction pursuant to the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014
- Researching Debt matters under the Mobile Homes Act and the application of the “Freeman of the Land” argument
- Dealing with matters in relation to Blue Badge Fraud
