Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a highly regarded London Local Authority to recruit an experienced Education Lawyer to join them on a part-time basis, for 3 days per week.
The Education Lawyer role is available on a 3-month initial contract, with the likelihood of being extended further on a rolling basis. The council is ideally looking for a candidate who can attend the office once per week, but this may be negotiated based on experience and location.
The successful Education Lawyer must be an expert in their field as they will be required to lead on all education and SEND tribunal matters, and train colleagues from the social care team in education law matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising upon and preparing cases in relation to SEND cases
- Appearing on behalf of the Council before the SEND Tribunal
- Preparing proceedings in relation to Schools and Academies
