Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Up to £450 umbrella per day
Local Authority in London
3 months initially with high likelihood of long term extension
36 hours per week, 1 day office attendance per week
Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in London in their search for a Principal Criminal Litigation and Regulatory Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month role (with the option to be extended).

Duties/Responsibilities:
Generally supporting the development of the local authority with senior members of the legal team. 
This includes, but is not limited to:

• Advising of all of the clients of the organisation and to provide representation
• Undertaking research as requested in relation to criminal litigation, regulatory work and licensing
• Attending and advocating in court and at Tribunals
• Advising officers and members in a proactive and sensitive manner
• Managing a small team members  

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer, with a valid certificate to practice in the UK
• Specialism within Criminal Litigation, licensing and regulatory work and evidence of practising this
• Management experience
• Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation
