About this opportunity
As a Legal Officer in the Children and Adults Legal Team you will have conduct of a case load of adult social care matters (under supervision of a lawyer) including: Court of Protection cases relating to deprivations of liberty in the community under the streamlined procedure and property & affairs; and pursuing adult social care debt cases. You will also provide support to the Lawyers on the team by: assisting in research and preparation of advice for the client, preparing documents and evidence for use in court, providing essential document processing, and bundling for Court of Protection cases.
Who we are looking for
Excellent communicators, the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, and an open and honest approach to management, are all qualities we are looking for.
Additionally, we are looking for someone with a Level 3 CILEX qualification/Qualifying Law Degree. Or otherwise, at least 2-3 years’ experience of working in a legal office environment. Sufficient knowledge and experience of legal practice and procedures together with strong workload organisation and time management skills.
