Locum Employment Lawyer – Midlands – Hybrid Working – up to £55 per hour Umbrella – 12 months +

 

Position: Locum Employment Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority

Rate: up to £55 per hour Umbrella (depending on experience level)  

Duration: 12 months +

Working hours: Full time or part time 4 days will be considered 

Working Arrangement: Predominantly office-based working,  may need to attend Employment Tribunals when required

 

This position welcomes Senior Lawyers/Solicitors to apply. The ideal candidates will have previous management responsibility, a strong knowledge of Employment Law and previous experience working within the Public Sector.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Providing a full spectrum of advice and guidance on Employment Law and delivering the advice to clients of the organisation

• Managing 2 members of staff and hold a caseload of complex Employment Tribunals and project work on restructures and redesigns as well as TUPE

• Acting on behalf of the Local Authority; external SLA clients (other Local Authorities), schools, academies to provide a full spectrum of Employment law advice & Litigation service

• Advising client departments on conduct, capability and redundancy procedures and relevant Employment Law Legislation

• To be able to prepare, manage casework and undertake advocacy work for Employment Tribunals

• Attending Employment Tribunals when required
