Governance Manager – Rolling Contract
Vivid are working with a university in the midlands who are looking to bring a governance manager into their team on an interim basis for an initial 6-month contract.
You will be given the opportunity to work on a hybrid arrangement, for a locum rolling contract with a strong likelihood of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and review of governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Act as the key liaison for the University’s governing bodies, ensuring efficient communication and adherence to governance protocols.
- Provide secretarial support to university committees, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, reports, and other documentation.
- Advise on governance matters, including compliance with higher education regulations and institutional policies.
- Assist in the preparation of governance documentation for senior leadership, including Board and Council meetings.
- Coordinate and support the induction and training of governors, ensuring they are equipped to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure the university’s governance framework aligns with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as evolving sector standards.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance structures and processes, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and senior management teams, to maintain high standards of governance.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
