Venn Group are seeking a Locum Childcare Solicitor for a Local Authority based in the Northwest of England. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx. Advocacy and office attendance is required for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Attending court hearings and advocate meetings
• Case Management
• Contested Interim Care Orders
• Fact Finding Hearings
• Final Hearings
• Applications for Emergency Protection Orders
• Placement Orders and Secure Accommodation applications under Section 25 of The Children Act 1989

Start: Immediate
Duration: 3 months initially, extremely likely to be extended
Working Arrangement: Full-time, hybrid schedule
Travel: Court and office attendance
Rate: £50-55ph, umbrella
