Enfield Council is recruiting two Senior Lawyers in its in-house Children’s Safeguarding Legal team. These are fantastic opportunities for talented and ambitious individuals to join a friendly, committed and highly regarded team. We would consider applications for full-time or part-time working.

We are looking for qualified lawyers (solicitor, barrister or FILEX) with at least 3 years post qualification experience dealing with complex care and adoption proceedings, non-accidental injury cases, secure accommodation and other complex areas.. Local government experience is preferable but not essential provided you have good experience working in and knowledge of the relevant area of law. The successful candidate will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team, working on varied and complex issues, and will be a team player who can demonstrate self-motivation and flexibility. The ability to work to deadlines with limited supervision and manage a heavy caseload is essential for this role.

This post is classified as a flexible worker and requires 2 days office attendance a week, although during the probationary period to support learning and assisting the post holder to excel in the role office attendance maybe up to 5 days per week.
