Invicta Law’s Child Protection Team prides itself on offering expert legal advice and support to local authority clients in all areas of child protection law.
Invicta Law are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a real commitment to the job to join their friendly and supportive team of experienced professionals, where your professional development will be nurtured and appreciated.

The successful candidate will have at least 6 months experience in key areas of child protection law and ideally have experience of working for a local authority. Consideration will be given to applicants from private practice with relevant experience.

Key duties -
  • Provide advice to local authority clients on various aspects of child protection law and conduct a full caseload of public childcare law proceedings
  • Work with other members of the team to advice upon all aspects of the work of the Child Protection Team including advice to social workers and external clients
  • Willingness to be responsible with some supervision for the preparation and conduct of a full caseload of public childcare law proceedings
  • Carry out legal research for own cases and by way of support to the Head of Group to ensure that tis is shared with team members to assist in the effective discharge of their duties
  • Maintain SRA standards and ethics at all times
What we need from you –
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Experience of undertaking Child Protection legal work
  • Some experience of working within or for a Local Authority client
  • Able to confidently to take on a caseload with minimal supervision and maintain files to a high standard
  • Proven experience building and maintaining positive relationships to be able to provide excellent client care
