Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis on various issues affecting the local authority and community. Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on findings.
Support Committees: Assist in the organization and administration of scrutiny committee meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and reports. Ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate and accessible.
Engagement: Facilitate engagement with stakeholders, including residents, community groups, and external organizations, to gather input and feedback on scrutiny topics.
Policy Review: Monitor and review policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to enhance service delivery.
Performance Monitoring: Assist in the development and implementation of performance indicators and frameworks to measure the effectiveness of local authority services.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to elected members on scrutiny processes and best practices, ensuring they are well-equipped to carry out their roles.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on scrutiny activities and outcomes to senior management and elected officials, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
