Locum Childcare Advocate

Are you an experienced Childcare Advocate looking for a well-paid, busy role within a London Borough Council?

We are looking for an experienced Qualified Barrister or Solicitor (with Higher Rights of Audience) to join a London local authority on an interim basis. The initial contract will be 3 months, but this is likely to be long-term (1 year+). The role is offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £55 - £60 umbrella, dependent on experience.

The in-house advocate will be required to conduct initial hearings, case management hearings, contested initial hearings and final hearings. This will require the successful lawyer to attend court on average 3 days per week, but this can vary.

Previous advocacy experience is essential, however, the client is open to someone who has a background in conducting both casework as well as their own advocacy, or someone who solely conducts advocacy. Applicants from private practice or chambers will be considered.

The successful Childcare Advocate will join a well-established team who are friendly and supportive under the guidance of brilliant leadership and will benefit from a long-term assignment.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting.

If you believe you have the necessary skills for this opportunity, please apply as soon as possible. If you would like to discuss your suitability, please call Brogan Connolly in our Manchester office.
