£35,745 - £47,420 per annum (£18.53 - £24.58 per hour) - Pay Award Pending
 
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic lawyer with experience in prosecution and regulatory work. In this role you will be expected to:
  • Manage your own varied caseload including but not limited to prosecution, regulatory and licensing work
  • Support colleagues when required
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Review and advise on merits of a prosecution
  • Prepare cases for Court to include witness statements, draft summonses, indictments, case summaries and deal with disclosure requests; prepare costs summaries
  • Attend Court, committees and meetings;
  • Have recent knowledge and pre or post qualification experience of prosecution work;
  • Instruct and prepare brief to Counsel
  • Have advocacy experience or a keenness to undertake advocacy
  • Knowledge and post qualification experience of licensing is desirable
Legal Services:
You will be working within Legal Services in the Resources Team, across numerous disciplines which will largely focus on prosecution cases, regulatory work, licensing and highways.
 
Where office working is required, your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
