Job Description:

g2 recruitment's specialist legal team are thrilled to be recruiting for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority based in the North West.

 

This assignment is offered on a full or part time basis for an initial duration of 3 months, subbject to potential extension thereafter. The ideal candidate will work on a predominately remote basis other than for occasional in person presence in the office or Employment Tribunals.  

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with previous Employment Law experience to become a part of a well-established public sector organisation.  

 

Daily duties may include: 

  • Conducting a high standard of Employment work and having TUPE knowledge  

  • Providing advice to Senior Managers in Council departments and other Officers and staff in HR on a wide range of employment law issues and claims made against the Authority 

  • Having a very good client working relationship, with the ability to pick up complex work 

  • Undertaking both contentious and non-contentious employment respondent work 

  • Conducting a caseload which may include claims relating to Sex discrimination, Race Discrimination, Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination and Redundancy
