Education Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)
Position: Education Lawyer
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Working Pattern: Full time - Remote (attendance required for a quarterly meeting)
Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Venn Group’s legal team are working with a
reputable Local Authority in their search for an Education Lawyer to join their highly regarded legal team.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has an excellent working knowledge of key education legislation and who has the experience and ability to conduct SEN appeals.
Local government experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Duties shall include:
- To be responsible for a caseload of SEN appeals, general education matters and judicial reviews
- To provide legal advice to a wide range of stakeholders
- To work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Drafting detailed responses and legal documents
- Communicating regularly with clients, providing updates and necessary information
