Employment Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)


Position: Employment Lawyer
Organisation:  London based Local Authority
Duration:  3 months with possible extension
Working Pattern: Full time- once a fortnight office attendance
Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
 
Venn Group’s public sector legal team are working with a London based Local Authority in their search for a Locum Employment Lawyer.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has experience of handling a complex caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
 
Local government experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
 
 
Duties shall include:
  1. To be responsible for a caseload of complex matters with minimal need for supervision
  2. To provide clear and concise legal advice on issues such as employment contracts, redundancies, employment disputes, workplace policies and tribunal claims
  3. To support the Principal Lawyer in ensuring that the council and clients are kept up to date of the law as necessary
  4. Build strong and positive relationships with clients
