Employment Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE)
Position: Employment Lawyer
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Working Pattern: Full time- once a fortnight office attendance
Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Venn Group’s public sector legal team are working with a
London based Local Authority in their search for a
Locum Employment Lawyer. The ideal candidate for this role will be either a
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has experience of handling a complex caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Local government experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Duties shall include:
- To be responsible for a caseload of complex matters with minimal need for supervision
- To provide clear and concise legal advice on issues such as employment contracts, redundancies, employment disputes, workplace policies and tribunal claims
- To support the Principal Lawyer in ensuring that the council and clients are kept up to date of the law as necessary
- Build strong and positive relationships with clients
