Position: Locum Licensing Lawyer

Organisation: East Anglia based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months +

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (can be worked flexibly across the week)

Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with Court Attendance when required

Hourly Rate: Up to £50 - £55 per hour Umbrella

 

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Licensing Law to deal with a large and varied caseload.

 

Duties may include:

• Understand the legal framework and case Law relating to Licensing

• Understand the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments and Lawyers

• Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients in but not limited to CPNs, Food Safety Prosecutions, Health and Safety Prosecutions, Prosecutions relating to dogs, noise abatement and planning enforcement

 

This position has an attractive hourly rate of up to £50 - £55 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience.
