Locum Prosecutions Lawyer – South East England – up to £60 per hour – Hybrid Working – Full Time
 
Job Title: Prosecutions Lawyer
Location: South East England
Duration: 3 months +
Working Pattern: Full Time and open to Part Time options
Working Arrangements: 1 day per week in the Office Preferred but open to Fully Remote Working Arrangements
Rate: Up to £60 per hour (dependant upon experience)
 
Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in collaboration with a dynamic local authority based in the South East of England to recruit a Prosecutions Lawer into their team on an interim basis
The role of Prosecutions Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis and is a great chance for an ambitious person to join an outstanding local authority
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven tack record of at least 3 years of experience within the public sector handling Criminal Prosecutions

Duties Shall Include:
  1. Complex Fraud Cases: Handle and prosecute complex fraud cases, employing in-depth legal expertise and strategic planning to manage intricate details and achieve favourable outcomes
  2. Consumer Complaint Prosecutions: Conduct prosecutions related to consumer complaints, ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws and providing effective legal representation
  3. Planning and Environmental Enforcement Prosecutions: Manage prosecutions and enforcement actions related to planning and environmental regulations, working to uphold statutory requirements and environmental standards
  4. Highways Enforcement Notices and Prosecutions: Oversee and prosecute cases involving highways enforcement notices, ensuring adherence to legal protocols and effective resolution of issues
While the Council are looking for someone with expertise knowledge in all of these areas applicants who do not fit the full criteria are strongly encouraged to apply for this role
