Locum Childcare Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £55 per hour Umbrella – 3 Months + – Home Counties
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Public Sector Organisation in the Home Counties Region who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join their department. This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months, subject to possible extension, on a full-time basis.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days office attendance per week expected.
Please note, candidates will only be considered if they have recent experience within Childcare Law in either a Local Government or Private Practice setting.
Duties may include:
• Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all pre-proceedings
• Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare law
• Providing Childcare Public Law advice and undertake all aspects of Care Proceedings work
• Attending courts and tribunals undertaking advocacy where required and to represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties in matters regarding the areas of legal practice relevant to the post
• Supporting the management team in adhering to compliance and maintaining client relationships
• Deputising for the Principal Lawyer or the Head of Children’s Social Care Law and safeguarding where required
An hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella will be considered for this position dependent upon experience.
