The Authority was established in March 2017 as a result of powers being devolved to it by Central Government most particularly in regard to securing major developments and improvements in respect of Transport, Housing, Education and Skills across the region.

The Authority is now establishing its permanent legal service and is looking for three exceptional lawyers to undertake the principal legal work areas for the Authority. We are looking for lawyers who are creative thinkers and exceptional communicators with energy, flair and resilience as well as displaying acute political awareness, highly motivated and collaborative in approach.
