The Team

The Public Sector team is thriving and now looking to expand with a bright and enthusiastic lawyer with circa 5 to 8 years PQE. Why so flexible? For us, it is your passion for local government and your experience that matters. You would be joining our team of over 60 specialist lawyers, delivering services to our Local Authority, Education and Healthcare Provider clients.

Together, we act for over 150 local authorities across the country, from Cornwall in the South West to Northumberland in the North East. Our national presence gives rise to a wide range of opportunities for you to get involved in.

The Role

Key duties of the Public Sector Lawyer will include supporting:

  • our clients on commercial law matters, comprising the full range of general and more complex contract work,   

  • the wider commercial team working on project-related matters .

You will be experienced in providing advice on a broad range of topics including procurement, commercial, governance and constitutional law, whether gained in-house at a local authority or in private practice.

You can expect to be involved in areas as diverse as health, housing, regeneration, education, transport and infrastructure to deliver results which directly impact the wellbeing of the people and communities our clients serve.
